GENERAL QUESTIONS
WHAT VERSION OF WINDOWS IS DJingo COMPATIBLE WITH?
DJingo is designed to be used with Windows 10 or 11, but may also operate in older versions. The version of Office installed on your PC is actually more important. If you do not have Office 365, 2019 or 2016 installed on your system, you will need to install the free MS-Access Runtime available on our DOWNLOAD page, or from directly from the MICROSOFT website.
IS DJingo AVAILABLE FOR APPLE COMPUTERS?
DJingo is only available for Windows. Though not tested or supported, DJingo may also run properly in the Parallels environment which is a Windows emulator that is available for Apple. Use at your own risk and expense.
HOW MANY COMPUTERS CAN DJingo BE INSTALLED ON?
DJingo may only be installed on one computer. If you intend to use DJingo to generate additional income, it should be installed on the laptop that you will be using to host your events.
DO I NEED ANY OTHER EQUIPMENT BESIDES A COMPUTER?
If you are using DJingo for a family or small gathering, the volume is normally sufficient on a laptop without having to use external speakers, though speakers would be very beneficial.
If you are using DJingo to generate income and host events, you will need to invest in a limited amount of audio equipment, mainly a powered speaker and stand, a small 2 or 4 channel mixer, a microphone, cables and connection adapters. Each venue will have different equipment so you will need to be prepared for many scenarios. With the purchase the DJingo app, we will include a special “Keys To Success” letter which outlines a list of essential gear and also provides tips and advice to make the most of your investment.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE DEMO VERSION?
The Demo Version is intended to be used for evaluation purposes, and many features and are disabled. The DOWNLOAD page contains a comparison chart highlighting the differences between the Free and Licensed versions.
The Demo version is still adequate to be used for a family or small group.
HOW LONG IS THE LICENSE PERIOD?
Each license is valid for one computer for as long as you use the DJingo App. Future updates are included at no cost. Volume license and educational or non-profit discounts are also available. Please contact us for additional details.
IS MUSIC INCLUDED WITH THE DJingo APP?
No music items are included with the DJingo App. If you do not have a music library, you can download music from the internet and build your own library, or you can opt to use cloud hosted music such as YouTube, SoundCloud or other hosting sites. With cloud hosted music you will not be able to use the built-in DJingo player, which is the most powerful feature of the DJingo App.
TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC FILE FORMATS ARE SUPPORTED?
Supported file formats are MP3 (preferred), WAV, WMA, and AVI. File support is based upon the Windows Legacy Media Player.
HOW DO YOU INSTALL THE WINDOWS LEGACY MEDIA PLAYER?
Click on the Windows Home icon or the Search Bar and type “Optional Features”, and then select “Manage Optional Features” from the menu. Click the “Add Features” button at the top of the page and search for “Media Player”. Select the Windows Media Player Legacy (app) and Click Add.
HOW DO I DETERMINE WHETHER I HAVE A 32 BIT OR 64 BIT OPERATING SYSTEM?
Open a File Explorer window, and locate “This PC” in the left panel. Right -Click on “This PC” and select properties which will open the settings panel in the “About Your PC” section, which will show the bitness of your Windows installation.
